Online Archiving
To minimize the size of inboxes we have implemented online archiving in o365
šļø With our online archiving feature in Office 365, your valuable data is securely stored and easily accessible whenever you need it. Our default policy sets the retention period to one year, ensuring efficient management of your organization's email and data storage.
šļø How to Access the In-Place Archive in Outlook šļø
Using Outlook Desktop Application:
Open Outlook on your computer.
In the navigation pane, find and click on the "File" tab located at the top left corner.
In the File menu, click on "Options" to open the Outlook Options window.
Within the Outlook Options window, click on "Advanced" from the left sidebar.
Scroll down until you find the "AutoArchive" section.
Click on "AutoArchive Settings" to open the AutoArchive settings window.
In the AutoArchive settings window, you'll find the option to enable and configure the In-Place Archive.
Make sure the "Show archive folder in the Folder List" option is checked, and adjust any other settings as needed.
Click "OK" to save the changes and close the windows.
You should now see the In-Place Archive folder listed in the Folder pane on the left side of the Outlook window.
Using Outlook Web App:
Go to the Outlook Web App and log in to your Office 365 account.
In the Outlook Web App interface, locate and click on the "Settings" gear icon in the top right corner.
In the settings menu, select "View all Outlook settings" at the bottom.
In the new settings window that opens, choose "Mail" from the left sidebar.
Under the Mail options, click on "General" if it's not already selected.
Look for the "In-Place Archive" section and make sure the option is enabled.
Click "Save" to save the changes.
The In-Place Archive folder should now be visible in the left navigation pane of the Outlook Web App.
By accessing the In-Place Archive feature in Outlook or Outlook Web App, you can effectively manage your emails and keep your mailbox organized. šØ
